 Hüfthalter Corset-Girdle
This unusual garment, shown here in red silk changeant satin with black powernet, is a modern recreation of the corset-girdles worn from the 1920s-1940s. It has the steel-boning of a traditional corset, however we use a combination of lighter 1/4" flat boning and more flexible 1/4" spiral stays. This corset-girdle will cinch your waist and provide gentle control though the mid-thigh area. The fit over the hips can be adjusted by lacing at the sides extending from hip level to waist. Overall adjustments can be made by two sets of self-lacing buckle straps that separately control the waist and the lower region. These self-lacing buckle straps allow you to tighten the laces without assistance. The intricate fan lacing in the back adds extra visual interest. Don't worry; it shouldn't be necessary for you to re-lace this garment. The front opening is positioned to the left of centre and fastens from the top through the hip with a separating zipper, and the rest of the way down with hook-and-eye tape. Powernet gussets along the bottom assist in ease of movement. You may not be able to sit down when wearing the Hüfthalter, but when you look this fabulous, who cares?
